Has anyone bought and installed the factory molded running boards? If you installed them yourself, what are the requirements and how long did it take to install it yourself?

i also am looking installing these. from what i have read so far i think that it is a relatively easy install with only 3 or 4 bolts per side.

There' s a few on here that have installed the tubular side steps or nerf bars. Don't know about the running boards. I ordered the tubulars but they cancelled the order because of the size and my address.

They take about 2 hours to install. You will destroy the old covers removing them. It's easier to put on the sides with the rear tires removed to help with the rear mounting plastic ribbed push clips (Christmas tree clips). There are two plastic style rivets, one on each side up front in the base of the wheel wells. There also is a plastic cover (4 small bolts and 2 wire tyes) that must be temporally removed on the underneath the passenger sidefoot wheel. The rest of the installation is straight foward, it's a direct replacement for the black rocker covers. There is three mounting brackets on each side make the steps are as sturdy as my 2003 Dodge Ram's steel tube style units. I have had them on the truck since June with no problems. They really look nice because they have a matching black diamond plate texture, like the rear bumper cover pad.

I have factory running boards on my 06 limited commander. I would like to sell them and just put regular mouldings on my jeep. If anyone wants to buy my running boards or sell me some mouldings let me know. They are super easy to put on and take off. 9 bolts per side.
