That weekend works for me too, that's actually my birthday weekend so it would be a nice getaway for my birthday. It's just a matter of finding someone to come along for the ride.

Cico7- can you tell us more about the place for those that haven't been there? I honestly haven't looked into much but can you describe the trails and scenery? Is it more for serious wheeling or nice trails to take in the scenery?

There are some tough spots, but there are many fireroads and scenery.
My first trip was unmodified. no lift, no skid plates. There are places you
would need armour, but there are trails around them. This is low level stuff
with a chance to get moderate.

You are an hour away from a flush toilet. 45 min from an outhouse.
About an hour to closest hospital/big town. Several have stayed in
Harrisonburg and driven in to camp or spend the day.

Lots of wildlife. Bears, racoons, snakes, mosquitos and an occasional deer.

More to follow.

Sounds like fun! So in other words, don't get hurt and empty your bladder/bowels before hitting the trails haha. Oh and a bear horn might come in handy.

We have seen 1 bear and 1 timber rattler,12 mosquitos,
and a couple bee's. They hunt bear up there so they stay hidden.

Biggest problem we have are people driving by.....well once we
had some road markers stolen.

And Crunchy broke his leg. Romeo hydrolocked. Neil got some mud
on his XK. oh, worst of all, this guy from NOVA Jeepers said
"I have never seen so many Liberties together before"
We got a little excited over that.....

If the dogs are barking, they have a bear. If the dogs are barking
and running your direction, you better get out of the way.

Let me know if you want more info.

We have had several trips with no dogs. Last trip, we had 3 dogs.
They did fine. But keep them close.
I'm 99% sure I will be there. I may have my brother-in-law with me. If not I may bring my dog (assuming they're allowed and my wife lets me take her). Can't wait to finally meet some of you guys.
