As some of you know I totalled out my commander last friday. I had it for 16 days, and it stickered at $37,675.00. The insurance adjuster called thursday with the fisrt offer (30,750), I told him he was crazy if he thought i was going to take that offer. Then they turn it over to a TLS (total loss specialist), he calls me back friday, and starts going over the option the jeep had, and why it was only worth $30,750. Come to find out, this tool doesn't even have a copy of the sticker in front of him, and was leaving out a handfull of options. So, i'm supposed to listen to this guy, who doesn;'t even know what my car was equipped with? It gets better. I got a call about 10 minutes later from my dealer, they tell me that this adjuster just called them, and was very persistent on finding out the price I paid for the car, which i'm told is none of his business. So, i'm waiting for him to call back tommorow to see what he has to offer.

Contact your agent and see if he/she is willing to help. He is the one who is making a living off your premiums. Some insurance companies sub-contract adjusting and these people sometimes follow a software program and cannot or will not deviate. Work with a supervisor who is an actual employee of the company. Do not give in. You are entitled to full replacement.

I've only been talking to an adjuster, and that specialist person. I have allstate. I understand all new cars are going to depreciatte once you drive them off the lot, but $7000 in 16 days? I hope to resolve this quickly as the 0% interest is supposed to expire at the end of the month. However, they said that last month and it didn't. Thanks

Are you expecting to get the full sticker for the Jeep? If I were you I would try and be fair also and just try and get what you paid. The insurance company knows you did not pay sticker. I would just work with them and not get greedy.

Definitely do not accept $30,750, that would be wrong. You should receive enough to buy a new vehicle with the options that you had.
