Couple weeks ago the WHOLE family, inlaws and everyone all gathered up at a state forest cabin we rented for a few days. We were all surprised at what an incredible set up we had! The cabin slept 21 on bunk beds, some doubles, some twins. Seperate dining area, propane stoves for heat (it froze every night, even snowed a little) and a large deck next to the lake, fire pit and all for just 80 bucks a night. The best part is all the trails near by, thats how we discoverd the place last fall while looking for a good place to view the aspens we went for a drive up Montgomery pass which starts near the cabin at 9000 ft and ends at 12,000 with a short walk up to the peak. Unfortunatly Montgomery was closed halfway this time, too much snow and all the trails were recently groomed but wow this is secluded peaceful area great for viewing wildlife. In most the pics you can see the destruction those pesky pine beetles have caused our lodge pole pines..realy quite sad.

the going got too tough for the silverado, but not me.

Awesome Pictures! I can't wait to start making trips up that way! That part of Colorado is just northwest of Rocky Mtn National Park.
