Been a Jeep owner since 1991. My favorite is my current 2006 Jeep Commander Limited 4wd 5.7 Hemi. As many of you have done, I added a Rocky Road 2.25" lift to make it look like a Jeep should. At 189k miles, my engine failed. I was at a crossroads. I decided to keep it alive and have been rebuilding ever since. New Hemi, suspension, driveline, transmission, etc. I currently have 225k and it runs great. Its my daily driver. Over the years, you have all helped me keep my Commander alive. This forum is a great asset to the Commander community!

Did you swap the remanufactured hemi yourself or did you have a shop do it? I ask because I see you’re from Michigan. I’m from Metro Detroit and am looking for local shop for potential engine swap.
