Hello, Jeep people!

I've just become a Commander owner, and it's great! Owned dozens of cars and 4x4s (and have too many right now) but this is my first Jeep.

There's very few of them in the UK it seems - but I picked this one up about a month ago on impulse, and really cheap (partly due to it badly needing a new front wheel bearing - which I've done)

It's got the V6 turbo diesel, it's done 185k miles but doesn't seem to have suffered from it - though it came with zero service record or history. I live on a rural property on the west coast of central Scotland, and work across the UK in event production - since I've had the Jeep it's done about 2.5k, been used off road quite a bit, and I've used it to tow - a large diesel generator, a trailer load of logs, and my broken lwb Renault panel van! It's done everything really well.

I got it so cheap I figured it'd be a short term workhorse, since I like it so much I'm now thinking it's worth giving it some attention and care and hopefully keeping it a while. Figured I'd find a forum as I do most of my car works myself when I can - and I don't usually join the forum unless I really like the car!

Is there a good source of workshop and other manuals? Mine didn't even come with it's owner's manual...

Thanks!

Look at this thread for getting a copy of the service manual downloaded - there are a couple given there.
https://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/5-general-commander-discussion/74289-factory-manual.html
For an owners manual do a search here, there is a link for that also. (Blue?)
You should be able to get both for no cost.
@rblapham; You are correct sir; the information below is from the New member Required Reading sticky thread;

Additionally if you bought a Commander, and it didn't come with an owner's manual, you can download a .PDF owner's manual to save and/or print, from the website link below; Just click on "Jeep" then select the "Year" and "Model" of your Commander and click on "Select Vehicle"

Next, click on the "Owner's Manual" tab under "QUICK LINKS" then click on the "DOWNLOAD THE MANUAL (PDF)" button.
