It is very easy to remove/replace. The top of the grill is at a right angle to the grill itself. Here, you will find 6 round pin heads. You will see a little indentation on each one. Take a small screwdriver, insert into the indentation and push the center up. This will release the whole pin. Once you remove all six, rotate the grill toward you and lift it out. Once you get the grill out, you will see the fingers on the bottom of the grill and see how they line up into indentations on the top of the bumper. Depending on how long it takes you to remove the pins, you can do this in a minute or two. :eek:rangehat:

Agreed. Removal/installation is very easy. I'd give the E&G grille 8.5/10 stars (ie. laser cut edges would look nice with a fillet.) I do like mine, though.

It fits pretty nice; I worried about the same thing and am pleased with the fit. It has some room to move, so the trick is just to mount it so that everything sits level. There's about a finger's height between the hood and the bumper, and by the lights is pretty snug. Pictures 6 and 9 in my FB album give a decent idea of what I'm talking about. Hope that helps!

Craigslist, of all places. New from some guy that showed cars at some dealership in CA. Occasionally they pop up for sale on here too.

I would say its a very nice fit. Install will take an hour or so. Ebay has them, what I did is email a few sellers who sold them, and I was able to find a seller that gave me 10% off with free shipping. Cost around $320 or so.

old school grill

I've been searching around here but I haven't seen anything yet on this.

Has anyone done a 21st century Rhino chaser grill?

Here is the look of the original.

I'm thinking I could narrow up the grill slots into the center and add a couple of fog lights between the headlight and the new grill to get the old Rhino look but with a modern twist.

They've done it with the Nukaiser,

but that is almost identical to the 60's version. I'm thinking I'd keep the original Commander headlights.

"Rhino Chaser" grill term is new to me, but I like it. What an interesting concept, to apply the old "Gladiator" grill look to the Commander. I hope you get it done, and take some pics.
