Okay, so I took the XK out for the first time this weekend. My club had our annual Valentine's Day social trail ride with SVFWDA at George Washington National Forest. The day was awesome and we had about 22 trucks in all. This group is not much for stopping for pictures, so I have no pictures of the XK in action. I can say the QD II setup performs perfectly. Now I shut off ESP and BAS completely (by holding the ESP off button for around 10 secons) and did not experience the "scary sound" others have referred to when it kicks in. The trails were just a bit muddy and offered just the amount of challenge I wanted the first time out with this vehicle. I do have some pictures, just none of the action.

The first picture is during staging as we lined up and BS'd for awhile. The last two pictures are from flagpole at the top of the mountain where we stopped for lunch. As you can see the view is spectacular.

Nice pics, the last one kinda sums up what those outing are about, at least to me. Any hoo though, you got to tell your buds about the insatiable demand for Commander action shots! We can't get enough around here.

Glad you had a good time. Need to make it up there one day.

Also, I noticed that you have a whip up top. What CB do you have?

Very nice, man. I definitely agree with Riddle that things like that 3rd picture are what those rides are truly about... enjoying the outdoors!

Good to hear that you made it through those trails with no problems.

If I can make the fall run we keep talking about, we can all hit these trails together. In the fall that view is just amazing.

The CB is a cheapie Radio shack with a K30 magnetic mount on the roof. I was actually zip-tying it to a cross bar when my 6 year old snapped the picture. I did not know it, but he took the camera out and took pictures of almost every rig during lunch. When I looked later I found some really cool shots.

I still want to lift it and I'm leaning towards the RR lift with just slightly larger tires, but I do not want to use spacers. If I have rubbing issues I'll just bite the bullet and order some AEV rims.

If you go with a 255/70/17, there shouldn't be any rubbing issues without spacers.
