I have a 2006 Commander 4.7 with almost 200,000 miles. It won't start unless I pull the ignition fuse and put it back in. This trick doesn't work though unless you have already tried once unsuccessfully to start it.

I replaced the fuse. That didn't make a difference. The battery is fine.

The lights all come on when you turn the key, but all else is quiet until you pull that fuse and put it back in. Then it will start right up.

I have heard so many other things about what could be causing this problem, so I thought I would ask for more opinions.

I do not have any mechanical skills but I am willing to try because I can't afford to take it to a shop. I also have a leaking radiator, which will probably be priority if I get any money.
