Hey guys! I've been a lurker for the last few weeks, and figured it was time to jump in this great community

I recently purchased a new to me commander. I would consider it high mileage at just over 178,000 miles but it's in good shape and after a few things are taken care of I'm hoping it'll last me 100k more! My last vehicle was a 1999 Cherokee with just over 300,000 miles (before someone decided to run a stop sign into me) so I'm not scared of high mileage.

There are a few things that need to be done to it though (water pump...seal is leaking, EGR valve, new battery, new belt, struts...good lord the stock struts that were left on this thing are bad...and tires) but they're all easy fixes that need to be done anyway and it'll give me a good excuse to teach the kids how to do them too!

I've replaced all 16 spark plugs, had the oil changed and outside of the P0404 code from the EGR valve it's running good!

The 5.7 and QDII are a pretty amazing combo. I expected the 5.7 to be a lot meaner than it is. It'll put you back in your seat but overall it seems to be more of a refined engine that always has power to give.

I'm looking forward to some great adventures in the Cherokee on steroids!
