We recently became owners of a 2006 Jeep Commander 4x4 and I love learning the tips and tricks of any vehicle i own. i do a lot of my own work on cars and these forums are the most valuable source in the last two decades. Our Commander is our exploration vehicle and not a daily. it is highly modified with bumpers, rock sliders, winch, 6 inch lift, compressor and on board water. WE LOVE IT.

5.7 hemi with QT2. 192k miles so it's got some noises. Engine runs great, transmission has a little shutter, tie rods pop a little, rear UCAs are shot. Airbag light is on. All things i don't mind digging into. I appreciate all of the links. I've used a few before!

I gotcha. Please share your trouble-shooting & repair experiences as you go through them.

Good write-ups with pics are always encouraged.

Also @Atcoop; if you click on your username/profile & click on "About" there are spots for you to fill in all of your Commander-related information. Thanks a bunch & Welcome aboard.

Edit; I was able to go in and add your Commander related information to your profile.

Have you pulled your factory build sheet yet? Checked for recalls?

Not yet, I couldn't figure out how to add the info. I just realized I put QT-2 and it should be QuadraDrive. I'll pull the build sheet today!

@James guzman There is no 6 inch lift kit for the Commander. Most Commanders with a 6" lift have a modified 4" Superlift kit. They put the 4" Superlift on and then add a 2" spacer lift to it. Unfortunately, Superlift has stopped making the lift for the Commander.
Also, please make an introductory post in the New Member Section. Thanks.
