Appreciated! My commander is at the point where I'll be starting to do as much of the work it needs myself, so I imagine this forum will be of great value. Plus, my wife and I absolutely love the Commander and I'm hoping that we can get it in tip top shape in the coming months, especially once the weather warms up. I've owned a Wrangler in the past that was a joy to work on (what little I did do myself), but for some reason I am tad bit intimidated looking at this Jeep! Am I wrong for feeling this way? Please tell me I'm not LOL

Warm up? You are in TN, but I see northern TN, must be 2 degrees colder up there:)
I'm in Cleveland TN in the south. Working on the Commander has some challenges but nothing too bad. 16 spark plugs to change is time consuming but not hard - need some various length extensions and a good foam liner socket. I have fixed many problems myself but I have the lifetime power train warentee so the dealer has done the tough stuff.
I have been fighting for a cleaner way to change oil, mainly the filter - see this http://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/23-regular-service-maintenance/62706-remote-oil-filter-add.html
Another member made an intake mod for cheap and I did that also see http://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/48-intakes/65850-$20-intake-resonator-delete.html
Search away as just about everything has been discussed.
