Hello all, I got my 2006 XK about a month ago and I am happy to have found this forum. This is my 3rd Jeep, the first 2 being Grand Cherokee. Sold my 2001 WJ limited and got the Commander. Still have my 2007 WJ Laredo. I do most f my own diagnostics and repairs, pretty much anything I can handle without a lift.
I am the second owner of this XK, and with 185k+ miles on the OD it is admittedly starting to need love and attention. The original owner gave up on it after not being able to diagnose and repair multiple MIL codes and not being able to get the state inspection. Oh, and not to mention the sunroof leak that would routinely flood the interior.
After some diagnostic work, about 5 hours labor and a few hundred bucks I have the MIL satisfied and am down to the low tire pressure warning indicators. Thanks to the recommendations in the thread and post contributors ( /forums/26-wheels-tires/67642-tpms-issue) I have ordered the software from appcar and i am looking forward to shutting down the TPMS along with the other diagnostic tools the software provides.
Again, happy to be here, i will will lurk often and post when I am able to contribute.
