Hello,

Newbie here. I recently acquired a 2009 3.7 V6 with 169K miles. This is my first Jeep purchase, and I'm liking the Spartan like simplicity of my Commander. At this point I'm not intending to do any serious off road mods. I'm not sure how capable the 2WD 3.7 V6 is. So for now it will be a cargo hauler and highway cruiser. I'm having the routine maintenance done (oil & filter, plugs, air filter...). I'm also replacing the struts and shocks as the ride is a little spongy going over bumps. I smelled burning oil and traced it to a leaking oil pan so I'm replacing the oil pan gasket. All in all I'm excited and eager to experience the features and benefits of my Commander. I am planning on upgrading the audio system all the way aound. I have the non nav, non Boston Acoustic system with SAT Radio, CD, and an aux input.

I'm looking forward to learning and contributing to the forum.

Cheers,
Seriousminded

Welcome to the forum! 🏁🏁🏁

I've done quite a few non-off road mods to my 3.7 XK if you want to check them out in my signature.
