This 4th of July, we decided to make a trip we've been thinking about for a while. One buddy had to drop out because he was on tow truck duty for the 4th. :( It's just as well, the XK even with a roof rack is a cram-job for two guys for three days of camping. Of course, we did overpack a bit. :eek:rangehat:

Here's an album of photos:

And here's the SPOT Adventure page:

I'm still working on planting photos in the SPOT map. It isn't all that easy. Mike was also taking photos, and where he clicked, I usually didn't bother. He has the photos of the 131 year old survey marker. And... when I do post them, I will NOT put the exact location of it. (It's a priceless artifact) What marker you ask? You'll have to read the posting on the SPOT page. :)

As for the SPOT satellite messenger, I'll have to push that OK button a little more often. The photos get linked to it's ''planting'' of waypoints, and if there isn't one, the locations have to be dragged around on the map manually. (Uggh!) That's also why the red route line jumps around... the updates were too few and far between. I also didn't do a start and finish, rather hit the OK button long after we hit the road. And when the scenery ended and the same-old-road boredom began, I turned it off. :D
