I had to drive through some deep water yesterday (about 15") after some heavy rains flooded the streets here in the Chicago area. Anyways when I got home I found a plastic heat shield/ skid plate hanging from under the engine area, anybody know the part#? Mine cracked right off from the 2 front bolt mounts and is only hanging on by the rear bolts.

My Commander is an 06 Limited Hemi.

Sounds like the engine skid plate. You can replace it with a factory metal skid plate if you plan on going off road. There is actually a full set that you can get.

The parts guy will easily look up the part number for you, or one of the guys in here will have it.

The stock plastic skid plate is worthless. I ripped mine off while off roading at Rausch Creek and have since upgraded to full Mopar skids.

I too ripped my plastic one off, do yourself a favor and upgrade now!

Mine got removed some place in the pine barrens and I never found it. I am with everyone else on the upgrade. The steel one is only about $50 and it will last a lot longer than the plastic.
