OK so here is what i am trying to do....Recall on 2008 commander remote and mine of course isn't working....I wanted to upgrade to remote start anyways. I have worked out a deal with dealer to credit difference in remote blah blah....So i went out to car to install antenna and find the hood switch because I am cheap and do not want them to mess with it....

I cannot for life of me find the switch located below the IPM...But here is the kicker I went and checked the connector to see if something was installed and sure enough something is plugged into Location 5 or g70 connector.....So, with that being said im lost can anyone with any experience HELP me find the connector where i would start to look for it on the wiring harness....thanks love all the great information that is within this community and really enjoy reading daily hope I can make this happen....

Personally, I have installed aftermarked remote starters in the past, but negotiated my (then new) 2010 deal to include a dealer installation of the OEM remote starter last spring... and I am glad I did!

I watched Mr. Mopar work for 2 hours to complete the installation - and he knew what he was doing! The entire dash was taken apart to gain access to what he needed to do.

Good luck. I suggest you pay the labor to let a Jeep mechanic suffer through it!
