Hey guys,

I am new to the game here, dont know much about tires. I have a commander with stock rims on it, I think they are 17's. I am looking to buy some new tires and do not want some standard tires, I want something that will look cool on the commander. I am willing to pay a little more. Anyone have any recommendations? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks alot guys!!!!

I've been noodling this thought in my head for quite some time and I haven't found anything yet. I'll eventually install a 2" lift on my Commander so I will definitely have to buy new tires. I'm curious to see how big of a tire you can go on these stock rims.

There are an endless amount of threads of tires search through them as most have pictures and you are sure to find something you like. Maximum size tire depends on MANY factors such as lift size, do you run spacers?, do you want to trim the pinch weld?, what tread pattern do you want? etc. There is no sure fire answer to MAX size tire.

I am your friend too. Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor stock size if NO lift. With 2" Goodyear Wrangler MTR w/ Kevlar. Those are my favorites! check out my albums in my profile for pics and feel free to leave comments

CobraC, check out this thread for really good info on tire sizes for various lift or no lift options. Even without a lift a good tread design will make a great difference.

I like my GY Wrangler Silent Armors. You can check my pics out as well. Lot's of good tires out there for the Commander.

Goodyear Silent Armor 1 size bigger than stock - P255/65R17 - approximately 1/2" wider (at tread) and 1/2" bigger diameter - mounted on my stock Hulk wheels - no rub issues at all. I do not have a lift, just the stock "lifted rear"! They fill out the wheel wells a little better because if memory serves me, ideally they should be mounted on an 8" wheel, and ours are 7.5.:eek:rangehat:
