We have owned 2 Jeep Cherokees and a Commander. I have also owned a LeBaron and a Durango. Over the past 22 years I have been a loyal customer. This bail out is a scam and so is the bankruptcy. I am totally sickened by what the US government and the Unions are doing, not only with Chrsler but also GM. This is total madness!!!! Good bye Jeep, I can not support you any longer and I am going to buy from a car company that is not part of this socialistic pact. :mofo:

Apprecciate your 2 cents but whatever dude. As long as you live in the US you are apart of the socialist pact for the simple fact your money is invested into it.

While I understand your anger, come on man geez

Guess bama will have to find a foreign car not made in the US if he doesn't want bailout money used in his car company

Whenever someone disagrees and says do some research it usually means they have no answer and it is nothing more then a smoke screen reply. Here are the facts: 1. The Union gets 55% of the stock plus 45 cents on the dollar and is allowed to elect a member on the Board of Directors; 2. The US Government gets 8% of the stock and 4 members on the Board and has the privledge of sinking up to another 10 BILLON DOLLARS into this mess; 3. The Canadian Government gets 1 member on the Board; and 4. Fiat gets the remainder of the Stock and 3 members on the Board. As for the Private Investors who had secured posistions (i.e. Mortgages and UCC Financing Statements) they were forced to take 29 cents on the dollar and no stock. Welcome to the confiscation of private property by the Federal Government. Does this mean that Chrysler employess are now working for the US? Who is paying for this? Those of us who pay taxes including our grandchildren. Tell me where the constitutional authority is for this? Wait until the Politicians get ahold of GM (soon to be known as Government Motors). Please tell me what business that the US Government has ever been successful running? It is time to wake up and start asking some tough questions or else this nonsense will forever change this great Nation.

The facts are that the Union doesn't get stock, the VEBA trust fund get the stock and more than likely that portion will get sold to fund the VEBA. Plus the workers don't get raises for at least 4 years, new hires are paid equal to what workers at the transplants make. Plus retirees, like my Mom, lose their dental and optical coverage. It's amazing to me that the people and politicans doing the most complaining about this, like Sen. Shelby, are from states that have foreign manufacturing facilities. I wonder how much of his war chest is funded by Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, and Diamler.

I guess you are referring to my comment so here it is... I know everything you just said and so does everybody else. Rush Limbaugh emphasized every detail of your comment today on his radio show, it is common knowledge. My point was that you called it a "pact". You seem to be all pissed of at a company who through no desire of their own were forced into this deal. A "pact" is an agreement, not a stiff arm tactic by Obama. In other words don't blame Jeep.

I guess that bama is going to take all his money and bury it in his back yard because I doubt that he can support banks of america. Bama, here are some things you might want to consider in the future. The next time you buy a piece of produce or that fancy new import car be sure you walk to the other side of the country to get it because in 1970 the railroad industry received some bailout money to keep their investors from loosing everything. Next time you see someone from the US military be sure you tell them you don't like them too much because back in 1971 lockheed received some bailout money. I bet some of that money went into the technology that saves their lives AND YOURS! You might want to just throw that commander out on the curb with a "free" sign on it because it is already cursed by bailout money. Back in 1980 Chrysler received some bailout money from the US and other banks to keep it floating. A couple years later Chrysler bought the company that owned JEEP. So if you don't want to worry about all this bail out money, them you may need to go to a different country. But do not fly there! the airline took their bailout in 2001 as a result of 9/11 hurting their industry.
