all I ever see in our performance section is oil and spark plugs, it's time to step it up a notch. I am going to put some idea's in our heads.

Engine mods:
Supercharger http://www.arringtonengines.com/p-1103-57l-hemi-lx-and-lc-supercharger-by-sms.aspx

Head port, cam and throttle body upgrade http://www.arringtonengines.com/p-1211-57-61-hemi-power-trip-package.aspx

Tuner will be done soon (this is the one I would recommend)

If you search you will find numerous threads on the gear situation for our XK's. The ring and pinion you just listed for the front will not work with our axles. Those gears are for Chrysler 8.0 inch front axles, not the axle found in our Commanders. There is actually a thread floating around this forum where I took a picture of my friends front axle in his Dakota to prove that they were not the same. These are the vehicles that those Chrysler 8.0 gears will work for. Notice that neither the Jeep Commander nor the Grand Cherokee are on that list.

Compatible with Models:
1/2 Ton Dodge Pickup: 2002 - 2006 (Front)
Dakota: 2000 - 2005 (Front)
Durango: 2000 - 2006 (Front)

X2, the gear issue is something that will require same research and I think manual labor to determine exactly what is going on under the XK. As for the performance parts I think that you are on a good track but only for the Hemi owners. Not that I have any desire to put a new cam and heads on my 4.7L

That's a lot of planned upgrades. And you're planning 35 inch tires? and 5 inch extension to the rear axle? Wow. So what have you gotten done so far? Pics?

I have spent hours researching the front end gear. All I can find is the Dakota 8, toyota 200m and a nissan c200. I was wondering if the nissan c200 is the same as our c200fe and what not. Why not, the srt8 tranny is a Mercedes. Well I am going to find out the hard way I suppose. Of the wonderful mods I listed above the only ones I see in the near future for me is the gear and the cam, then maybe the port work. The supercharger would be nice but I will have to see how the 35s feel with 4.88s. If I don't have the power for them a loan might be in order for the charger. That is a ways down the line, for now I am working on some fiber glass fenders for the front and flairs for the rear. As of now I don't believe extending out the rear axle will be needed. I was tossing around the idea of a hiem joint on one side of the trailling arms for more flex at the cost of life. If the axle will have to be moved then so be it. More worried about the pan hard rod location and bye bye spare tire under the jeep.

I have spent well over a year doing research on our axles to find gears that will work for our application. I can assure you that there aren't any ring and pinion sets on the market for our front axles. There arent that many vehicles that share our front axles. Infact, I can count on one hand the amount of vehicles that share our front axle.

Also im not sure what you plan on doing with your XK but if you do infact have a Hemi under the hood and are going to run 35's then 4.88's are a little overkill. Id recommend going with 4.56's if you can ever get your hands on some that will fit our front axles.
