Hi, could anyone advise me on whether a remap would see a slight improvement on mpg? I have found a very reputable remap company in the UK (Atlas remapping in Somerset) who will also give a half price engine carbon clean included with a remap. Thankyou for any advice in advance.

Almost no CRDs in the US , but we do have several members on here from places with the CRD so hopefully they will chime in. For those of us that only know a little of the Kings english, what is a remap?

He's talking about "chip tuning."
V666 that engine is used in many other applications in the EU (e.g. Sprinters). You might try doing some research in those other vehicle communities.

P.S. The carbon sludge clean is definitely worth to be done.

Good morning,

I would not recommend any re-mapping or chipping as what it’s known for.

Engines and ECU calibration is calculated by professional engineers. Changing this will add stress and other factors to the running of the engine and calculations by the ECU.

This is my own opinion, can a fellow Jeep Commander engineer follow this up for us please?

Many thanks
