Is this the Jeep Grand Wagoneer?

The Jeep Yuntu Concept made its debut earlier this year at the Shanghai Motor Show, and at first, it was believed to preview a China-only model. After its debut, there were rumors that the production Yuntu could head to the U.S., badged as a Chrysler seven-seater SUV offering. But now, it’s appearing the Yuntu could become the Grand Wagoneer in the U.S. based on these spy photos.

What we do know is that this three-row prototype features a design that matches the Yuntu Concept, with similar headlights, tail lights, and overall profile. Our spy photographers say the Yuntu was testing with the elongated Cherokee-based mule, as well as a Chrysler Pacifica minivan and a Volvo XC90 plug-in hybrid. Considering the Yuntu Concept promised to deliver a plug-in hybrid SUV, it makes sense that it’s being benchmarked against the Volvo XC90 plug-in hybrid.

Hopefully in the coming months it will become more clear how the Yuntu will be used in the U.S., whether it’s the Jeep Grand Wagoneer or a Chrysler SUV.

If that's the Wagoneer, then I am thoroughly disgusted. The Renegade, the new Cherokee, now this? Utterly awful looking vehicles.

So I didn't really like the renegade at first, but when my wife and I couldn't nail a good WK2 or Durango without cutting off a limb, we ended up in a renegade we really liked, It's now my wife's/family wagon and it's a good little baby jeep.

Back to the pic, to me, the body resembled a Durango, maybe it could end up being one in Jeep formlike the way Chevy/GMC/Cadillac does Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/Escalade or Ford/Lincoln does the Explorer/Navigator

Looks like a Durango to me.

Call me unimpressed.
I actually really like the Durango, and if they made an SRT variant it would make me all the more excited, however, I do hope this is not the wagoneer. I'd like that to be more "grand" if you know what I mean, and no pun intended.

Other uses

Earlier this summer I went to a Car Show/Swap Meet, and there was a 1970's Cuda pulling a 1970's Cuda that had been cut in front of the door and made into a trailer. Take a Front Wrecked Mini Van or Small S,U,V, Cut it off and put a tounge on it and a battery, think of the Custom Trailer you would have, with all the electrics and Room, probably too pricey. But another use for them.

Glad you like yours. I had a horror story experience with one in my family :( My grandmother was part of a class action lawsuit against Jeep that ended up awarding her a settlement + manufacturer buyback for her vehicle. She bought a maxed out Renegade Trailhawk brand new and in the first 10,000 miles went through three engine wiring harnesses. The Jeep consistently would stall out on her, twice leaving her in the middle of an intersection. Unless you're on cruise control that 9-speed felt like it was CONSTANTLY shifting, and the low-20s MPG definitely didn't reflect the size of the motor and the vehicle. Of course Commanders are on the other end of the spectrum, but damned if that Jeep wasn't a death trap waiting to happen.
