I couldnt find anythread specifially dealing with this...

I i know there are a few here the carry jerry cans on the trail for extra emergency fuel.
And several people are getting get lost rear tire carriers that can haul a jerry can.
its there any types that should or should not be used....
just wandering any idea and if anybody has insights into carring extra fuel off roading and traveling:
legalities/laws,
dangers,
tips,
cool tricks,
out of the box ideas...etc

also any think it would work to have a low profile tank on the roof basket and then have hose the could run down and into the tank when needed....or if its a bad idea to have it on the roof.....i thought i had seen them up there before on some rigs...

anyone know if a jerry can can lay down side ways or would affect the relief valve?....assuming there is some kind of a value the keeps it from building pressure from sloshing around.....
btw....i guess i said "can can"....

Every gas can I have has leaks if you lay it on it's side ... the preasure builds up in the sun and forces the fule out.
