Lift kit and shock question

Bought a 06 commander a few years ago, didn't know it was lifted but had assumed it was due to 35's on it. I now need to replace the shocks and struts but don't know what kit is on it or which shocks to get since there are no part numbers.

I'm assuming it's a 4" lift from the block on top of the front struts.

And the second question is what would be causing the abs to go off when making a turn. Abs goes off when taking off from a stop or going over bumps while turning.

Any help would be appreciated.

probably a wheel speed sensor on the abs issue, have not done it myself but not a big undertaking. i'd look at shock surplus and perhaps talk to them about your need. 4" is pretty tall so you really want to get the right shock - it does look like yours are done with the oil leaking

@pratherdude ; Welcome to the forum;

Those are not 35 inch tires - not even close, I can easily see that in the one pic you took with the tape measure by the tire, that tire looks to be roughly 31 1/2 inches or so.

I can also confirm that by your suspension set-up, at least what I can see of it.

Although your pics aren't the best & there is a lot of dirt & rust, at a glance, those suspension components that I can see, look completely stock to me.

How about you start with what your tire size is - as it's printed on the sidewall of your tire?

As far as the ABS light turning on and off intermittently, for starters, I'd suggest you check that all of the connectors going into your PCM are clean and tightly connected.

Tires are LT285/70/R17's.

It's not the ABS light coming on and off, it is the actual ABS module under hood making noise.

Ok, I'll give those a go. IT does have 175k miles on it so... I that is something I hadn't though of.

LT 285 70 17's are 33 inch tires.

Same size I'm running.

I'm kind of surprised you're clearing those, since I don't see much on your suspension that looks like its aftermarket, but, those aren't the best pics either.

Your UCA's are definitely stock, your shocks look like they could be stock as well;

But to clear those tires, you have to have at least a 4 inch lift;

Maybe give your XK a good cleaning, knock some of that dirt & muck off and post some better pics.
Is that bracket on the top of the spring stock?? I dont remember that on my shocks when I replaced mine a couple years ago.

I’ve got a 3in lift on mine that the previous owner had put on but didn’t do anything else UCA’s or anything what brand and recommendations do you have to make everything right with the 3in lift
