hi guys, i realize now that on my jeep commander i get a terrible metallic vibration noise from 1500-1700 rpm and i realize that is coming from two little metallic pipes that are starting from the catalyst and are going i dont know where up to the engine.
One is getting is the front part of the catalyst and the other at the end but i i try to move them but the noise is still there.
i wanna ask: if i remove it i ll get the ENGINE CHECK light on my dashboard or no?

Ok, problem solved: i completely removed the metallic pipe but it endup in a sort of electronic module (pic number 2)
What is for?
Btw until now no light are on my dashboard..

actually if i unplug or i try to close the two holes in the elctronic module i get a light on flashing for a wile with car running in P.
The light is this one...

23. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) Warning Light —
If Equipped
This light informs you of a problem with the
Electronic Throttle Control system. If a problem
is detected the light will come on while the
engine is running. Cycle the ignition key when
the vehicle has completely stopped and the gear selector
is placed in the P (Park) position. The light should turn
off. If the light remains lit with the engine running your
vehicle will usually be drivable, however, see your dealer
for service as soon as possible. If the light is flashing
when the engine is running, immediate service is required
and you may experience reduced performance, an
elevated/rough idle or engine stall and your vehicle may
require towing. The light will come on when the ignition
is first turned on and remain on briefly as a bulb check.
If the light does not come on during starting, have the
system checked by an authorized dealer.

Ok but it show on and now is not there anymore.. So i guess it was a contact or an error nothing more...
Now the car is running fine..
But what is the etc of the light?

I'm not sure what you are asking. ETC stands for Electronic Throttle Control.

Your Commander does not have a throttle cable. The throttle is computer controlled by the position of the gas pedal. Also known as "drive by wire ".

ok guys, after all i get a new problem on my jeep...after that i remove the little metallic pipe since 2-3 days the car take so long to turn on in the morning (im living in Milan so is 18 Celsius now).
could be this related with the pipes??
