I kept getting damage to the rear differential cover from high center rocks on the local trails. Nothing major, just enough to break the seal.

I used some clean scrap steel and my very rusty welding skills to make a 1/4" skid. Also custom bent a U bolt blank to go over the top.

I was looking at something like that. More money than I have to spend at the moment. I also have some other fab work to do and needed the practice.
