Here they are. I have a Flowmaster 50 series on the V6. I used stock tubes, aftermarkets should run and attach in the same line as stock unless it's a full cat back (then you have to worry about bends from in front of this first picture)
Sorry about the bad contrast and healthy coating of mud. It was a VERY simple install if you know how to weld (I do not, and I do not own the equipment to do so, but I watched the shop guys do the job). They plasma cut the old muffler off (takes 4 min) made sure the new muffler fit inside the cavity (should never be a problem for aftermarket over stock) and welded it straight on. Fairly simple, they charged me 50 bucks for the work and I was on my way. I got my muffler online for $70 plus shipping NIB. So grand total $120. If I had the V8 I would have gone with a full system from headers all the way back but with a V6 it's just going to make it sound nice...or like a V8...stock :-/
The Borla (and probably all others) attaches at the flange forward of the existing muffler, and replaces the entire stock pipe behind it (including resonator). It wouldn't be too difficult to do on a newer Jeep, but once those bolts are frozen on there it was impossible for me to get them off (Jeep is three years old) so I had to go to a professional (e.g. someone with a lift, torch, and pneumatic tools).
I realised that I'd posted my first post in the new member section rather than exhausts so here goes...
I've running the 5.7 v8 Hemi and I'm going to keep the stock resonator at the rear. I started off thinking I wanted a Flowmaster super 50 or the 50 series but after hours of listening and...
I have been listening to an ever worsening exhaust leak since I bought it. One broken passenger stud became two followed by a blown gasket. A few weeks ago the driver's started leaking. Couldn't stand it anymore. I bought some headers last year hoping they would work.
After taking apart a...
So, getting ready to do exhaust and am torn to do exhaust but am getting conflicting info on 3 inch exhaust. Everyone on the Challenger and Charger forums state that the Hemi actually loses torque with three inch until you crest 450 horespower.
So, those here who have 3 inch on the Hemi...
Anyone on here have one installed? I know they were made by Borla for Mopar. I have seen photos where it has a dual tailpipe serup and some single. Can't find anyone who can confirm one way or another.
I have researched for over an hour and couldn't find the info I was looking for.
I have always opened the intake and exhaust on all my vehicles.
Thru many years of research and trial and error I have ended up liking Borla and Magna flow and K&N for the intake.
Its been may years since I have...
