Anyone had the problem of burnt smelling oil after you parked?
Someone said one of the the mds solenoids leaks.......
I pulled it up on the service manual.
Is that rite? And if anyone has changed them.
How difficult?
How long can you wait to do it or get done?
Thanks

I disabled MDS with Superchips FlashpaqF5 tuner because after putting a decently throaty exhaust on, the sound of the motor transitioning in and out of MDS was really annoying.

I just use the "Tow/Haul" button when it want more pep (lower gears) and all 8 cylinders. For trips I try to get better mileage so I get out of tow/haul.

The MDS is only available in the hemi. Those of us with the 4.7 and the 6 cyc need not worry as far as I know.
That's great.
I was all underneath the other night
I have a rear pinion Seal leakin from the top (thankfully) and it sprays onto the exhaust pipe. So I'm happy about it. It not
being engine trouble... 👍

Don, in your signature you show having QD2? I do not think any 3.7 has QD2, Check your build sheet at this link to see what you have. Have your VIN number ready. Sounds like you found the leak - great.

How'd you turn it off with Flashpaq?

I saw that option on AppCar FCA software, but was afraid to try it. Good to know it works! I think I will do the same, as we do not do road trips enough in the Commander to make it worthwhile.
