ok so i have a 08 4.7 rocky mnt commander i love it the stock tires were great in the mich snow but i live in tn and i have lots of trouble in the mud here wat r good mud tires without a lift

245/70R17 BF Goodrich MT KM2's. They will fit a stock Commander.

I agree, the BFG KM2 is a great option. They also do very well in hard packed snow. The only draw back is the load rating. The 245/70-17 is only offered in a E load range so if you go with this option I would suggest running the factory air specs or just slightly over.

they actually work half way good in powder as well.

you'll just have to air down to 15 psi or less. once i did that i did very well in the commander. 255/75/17's on my commander. they are a good tire, but be careful with the sidewalls, i've shreaded 2 in my life. once on my commander and once on my old toyota. sharp rocks will slash the tire when its pinched and on a rock faster then you can believe.

You can get the KM2s siped but still the rubber is a bit hard for a typical ice tire.
