A bit more info? Did it just happen? What year is the radio? It might just need an update you can get them here http://mofv.com/mygig/ . If you want to check the antenna i would start under the fender. Then look at the back of the radio.

Black is the AM/FM. Yellow is Satellite radio. Blue is GPS.

2008 Jeep Commander limited

Its a RER model with sat, nav, and uconnect capabilities and the back up camera. Just happened three days ago. FM and AM signal comes and goes. Everything else works fine. Don't want to take it to the dealer if its going to be a quick repair. Current software application is 9.713.

thanks.

I'm not sure, but I don't think the software would affect the AM/FM reception.

The first thing to do is check the AM/FM antenna connections at the antenna and at the radio.

Check the antenna where it screws into the base on the fender. Even if it is slightly loose, you can lose the signal. This happens to me with AM, but it has never happened on FM. I keep an 8mm wrench in my glove box to tighten it when I need to. :eek:rangehat:

As you can see you version is very old. It may not fix the am/fm issue but I would update it. You never know I think the Hdd controls a lot. Is it doing anything else kinda screwy?

Real-time traffic, speed and flow feature receives traffic messages with the satellite radio receiver. This feature requires a subscription with Sirius to receive this service.
