Hi all,
I am about to embark on a Tranny fluid change and have located conflicting information re the Fluid type.
I see discussions that it is AT +4, some say that it must have the spec MS-9602, some say it must have the spec MB236.14. HELP!! as I do not wish to blow up an expensive item.
I have studied bobistheoilguy and every oil label I can find but all I have done is added confusion.
It gets worse if you then involve any MercedesBenz forum as it is a MB tranny.
He who has done it - please assist me!
Cheers to all,
Ozzie from Oz(Down Under) :eek:rder:

I used atf+4 38k ago and have had no problems. I currently have 78k. Since we do not have a dipstick, I measured how much fluid was drained out, which was 4 qts, and put 4 qts back in. The gasket and filter kit was aftermarket at the local auto parts store, but next time i'm ordering through Mopar. I eventually bought a dipstick tool for the nag1 through Ebay to keep an eye on the level. It is only a "tool", not meant to be left permanently in the tranny. Research some of Mongo's older threads on this subject, he's thorough.
