My Commander was built in the August timeframe and purchased in February. I noticed that the NAV system didn't quite understand some areas of newer development (well, not that new).
When I had it in for service, they said that new DVDs come out annually, in January and they are on back order. My DVD is from January 2005. They ordered a new one (and it is back ordered).
You would think, that Jeep would make sure that any Jeep bought after the next DVD became available, they would upgrade them to current maps. Sure, they are going to send me the DVD when they come in, "after I complained". I would have expected, current Nav DVD on any new car bought.
Anyway, anyone that has the Nav system and bought their Jeep this year, might want to check it out. At least be on the current DVD before you have to pay over $200 each in the following years.
