Hi Jeep Commander Forum,

My name is Felicia and I am a brand new Jeep owner - as of two weeks ago. Seen in the pic is Big Zaddy, my 2007 Jeep Commander 3.7 4wd, and Lil Sister, my offroad trailer conversion. Big Zaddy is a high mileage mama with just under 200k miles, so I'm doing my own tune-up, brake, and fluid changes to make sure she is ready for long trips and bumpy roads.

This is the first vehicle that I have ever attempted to do anything more than an oil change by myself. Youtube and the forum are definitely my friends. So far, everything seems clean and well maintained. After I'm finished with her physical, I plan to remove the 2nd and 3rd row of seats, lift her two inches, and install some overland gear.

I've been looking for a 4x4 for a few months, and I'm super excited to find my XK! I purchased Lil Sister on July 2 and then realized that my daily driver can't tow her. So, Big Zaddy is for her. It took me several weeks to sand Lil Sister down to the bare metal and address all of the rust that was hiding beneath everything. Tip: you could put your trust in rust correctors or you could address your rust issues first. The latter is the best way to go.

I've got tons of equipment to install in my overland rig, and optimistically I should be able to take the duo on their first shakedown trip in 2 weeks.

I'm excited to see what other people are doing!
