So I'm new to this community as I've never really searched for a Jeep Commander group online before. I've mostly just watched YouTube videos in the past for any minor fixes or need-to-know stuff about my Jeep. So I purchased her back in 2010 at a used car dealership in Colorado when I was going to college and during that time went on about 9 round trips back and forth from Colorado to California, and several off-roading excursions through the Rocky Mountains and Sierra Nevada Mountains whenever I would come back home to visit. It took me about 5 years of owning her before realizing that the salt used to clear the roads was causing a lot of rust damage. Through all of the maintenance checks, nobody bothered to mention it. Any way in 2015 I moved again to Kansas City, MO, and had about 2 round trips from KCMO to California. While not as much mountain driving there was still a lot of off-roading and more snow. She's now enjoying the last few years (hopefully) in the warm sunshine in California. Although right now we're stuck with all the fires and ash falling around us. Any good tips on making sure I don't damage the paint from the ash would be appreciated as well.

I've posted pictures but just in case they aren't loading I have 2006 (had 75K miles when I bought her in 2010), 5.7L Hemi Ltd, red color. It currently has 251K miles now! No major cosmetic changes, other than the dings and scratches over the years. I hope to get some of that taken care of, but of course, with so much mileage it seems like every few months now I'm dropping between $300-$500 to get something fixed.

She's been through a lot and has always managed to come back from the dead no matter what happens. So I'm hoping to get plenty of more miles out of her.
