Hi. I recently joined the forum and am from central PA (State College). I have a 2010 Commander Sport 4X4 (Q-Trac I) 3.7V6 with 118,000 miles - lots of trips to NC to visit kids. The Commander has held up well, but I'm starting to have intermittent issues with the auto door locks. I saw a few similar threads on the forum. I hope to find some help. Thanks for having me aboard!

Crazy Locks

Thanks for the welcome and links. I'm having problems with my auto door locks. When I try to unlock the driver's door, all of the four locks start to unlock, then lock repeatedly - you have to catch it when it's unlocked to open the door. Of course this happens intermittently. I replaced the battery in the FOB and repositioned all of the contacts. I contacted a dealer and the service manager didn't think it was the FOB since all door locks were opening/closing. I didn't find the same issue on the forum. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas where to start? Any electrical diagrams? Thanks for your help!

Have you had your Commander's battery checked? A battery that is putting out less than the proper voltage can cause a lot of odd things to happen with your electrical system - such as what you're describing. I'd drive to AutoZone or Advanced Auto parts, they'll check your battery for free - and if nothing else, you can eliminate that as a possible cause.

Another potential issue could be that you may need to replace your master door lock switch; The master door switches are cheap enough, you can get one for about $35.00 on amazon;

This thread has a lot of good information and gives a good break down on the Commander's junction block and fuse system;

Thanks for your help! The battery is relatively new, but will check it out regardless.
