Greetings everyone-

Hope to learn the tricks and trades of keeping these things running. I've wanted one for quite a while to compare with a host of vehicles I've had, but when you look at it- the Commander is the largest old school rig that you can have a hatch, all wheel drive, a V8 and not spend a huge dispproportinate amount of money modding- which means more trail and fun times! Plus- I can park in a regular space and stay between the lines now. Best regards all- see you out there somewhere.

Welcome to the forum.

To get the list of everything built into your Commander when built at the factory - have your VIN number (case sensitive) and go here Chrysler Build sheet - Equipment Listing Not necessarily for your signature but so you know what you have.

You can download a free Owner's Manual here--->Owner's Manual

Thanks for the scoop on the Build sheet rblapham! I'm curious to see I don't have the LS diffs, but that it uses ABS when transferring traction- would that be a huge negative for non elec LSD? Thank you!
You must have QT II which is a very good 4 WD system. Yes the elec LS is better (QD II) but yours should be just fine.

@Grimmbob ;

QT-II & QD-II use the same NV245 two-speed transfer case, so, you have the ability to drop down into 4-LOW.

Electronic Limited Slip differentials (ELSD's) are specific to the QD-II 4WD system, so you are correct, you don't have them.
