Hi all, oddly enough we have just now made it into the high 90s this summer in Texas. My wife says she is noticing a new sound from the engine that she describes as a 'revving' sound that seems to correlate to the throttle position. When she revs higher, the noise grows.

I am pretty sure it's the cooling fan and that the temps are just now enough to get it working, but she was in a rear end collision in it 6 weeks ago, and we didn't have this noise before that.

Any light that you guys can shed on this is very welcome...

Thanks in advance.

What is your engine?

if 4.7L then do you have the mechanical fan?
