New to the forum, so sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I just bought a 06 Commander sport 4x4 v6. I bought it for cheap just to have as a spare vehicle at the house, mainly for me to drive when the weather is too bad to ride my motorcycle(I normally ride my bike year round). I had every intention of not doing anything to it other than drive it. But, me being me....I can't leave well enough alone(It doesn't help that I have two friends with JK's) Can anyone tell me if the stock bumper driving lights from a JK are the same as the Commander? Also, what is the best, cheap leveling kit? Last question...at 75-80mph I feel a very, very slight vibration that feels more like a tranny vibration and not a tire vibration(Tires are brand new). Is this just normal with the full time 4wd system or could it be a sign of something that I need to check/service? Again, sorry if I should've posted this in a different place. Feel free to set me straight. :)

I don't think they are the same but there are plenty of upgrade options for the fog lights and you won't have to worry about modifying them to fit. The cheapest and best kit is the rough country 2" lift. It will level your jeep out and only costs about $150 and most shops charge about 3-4 hours labor to do it. You might want new tires at that point unless you like a large fender to wheel gap. As for the slight vibration that could be so many things with a AWD system that I would just ignore it. Or you can end up throwing parts at it and that gets expensive. The QT1 is a pretty capable drive system and I've seen them get through some stuff. But it really isn't the best platform for building a good trail capable Jeep. I'm just saying this because I've know a few QT1 guys to get bit by the off road bug and build their Jeeps up.

Thanks for the info SAL-XK. Because it's a QT1, I would never try to turn it into a serious trail vehicle. I'm mostly just wanting to get rid of the factory rake and do a few things to make it my own. Besides, my wife has a Toyota FJ Cruiser with 3" lift, 33" tires and a bunch of other mods and that's usually what we wheel in. On a side note, our youngest daughter(two daughters, both in college) has a 2006 Liberty Limited with the Command Trac 4wd and the same engine as my Commander. Actually, our oldest daughter has a 4wd Rav4. So my motorcycle is the only vehicle we have that's not 4wd. :) Again, thanks for the info!
