Hello everyone,

Just bought a 2006 Commander, and I'm looking to restore it to its former glory. Lots to do, but one thing: any suggestions to fix the antenna / radio? Places to buy it, and is it an easy install? (I don't just mean the twist-off cosmetic piece, but the entire antenna).

Cheers!

@FrankCastle , what do you mean by "entire antenna"?

.
My bad for the vagueness! Basically, the entire unit that rblapham's blueprint shows. I'm hoping the problem's due to the top piece of the antenna (i.e. the cosmetic piece that screws off), but somehow I don't think I'm going to be that lucky...

If it is just the external antenna, I recommend AntennaX. I replaced my 40" (or however long it is) stock mast antenna with their 13" "off-road" model and haven't experienced any issues with signal strength. You can get their stuff on Amazon.
