I think it is an engine oil cooler on the front of the radiator? If I'm wrong please correct me. I need a new one and don't want to buy the wrong part. Thanks.

I think you are talking about the transmission cooler.

Directly in front of the Radiator is a combination Transmission Cooler and AC Condenser. One big heat exchanger the same size as the engine radiator, that if you didn't know better, might assume is the engine radiator itself. The heat exchanger is internally segmented, and there is a cover over the lines going to it, the top the transmission lines, mid-way is the AC lines.

In front of that combination trans cooler/AC condenser is the Power Steering oil cooler. It is the farthest forward cooler in the stack and much smaller than the coolers behind it.

If you have to change it, make sure to use the correct PS fluid. Especially if you have the Hydraulic Driven Cooling Fan that is part of the HEMI (not sure if the 4.7L had it also). I think only the dealer sells the hybrid hydraulic/power steering fluid stipulated for the Commander.

Not a hemi. 3.7 liter. How do I put oil in the darn thing. I fixed the leak but I can't figure out how to replace the oil. I don't want to evacuate the freon accidentally so I'm not loosening any of those connections until I figure it out. Thanks again.

Ok, how do you evacuate refrigerant accidentally? You need a vacuum pump that you hook up to the AC to pump it into a container, not something you just accidentally do? Do you mean accidentally release the refrigerant charge? Freon is the brand name for R12, the Commander uses R-134a refrigerant.

Which ever system was leaking will be low on fluid. Which cooler was leaking?

The 3.7L would have the NAG1/W5A580 transmission that has a dip stick tube capped stating Dealer Service only. So you can't check the transmission fluid level yourself, without the special tool and measure fluid temp and precisely servicing it to exact fluid level by the chart in the FSM. This trans is very sensitive to overfilling, that is why Dealer Service only.

If its the PS cooler, read above on how to identify it, then just check PS fluid level and add (with the proper fluid) until it is at the proper level.
