Hello everyone.
Recently hit a deer in my 06 commander I had to replace pretty much everything on the front end.
Well today I filled all the fluids up and now the power steering pump is howling.
After the hit I did have to drive it home 10 miles so I am figuring the pump burned out while driving it.

Is their a write up on replacing this.

I just replaced mine along with the steering rack. It's an easy job. It's held on by three bolts. Take off the serpentine belt and spin the pulley to access the bolts through the holes in the pulley. Other than that there is one line going to the power steering pump itself and one to the resevoir. Shouldnt take you more then 30 minutes. Then start the jeep and have someone turn the steering wheel from full lock one way to full lock the opposite way for about 3-5 min back and forth while adding fluid until the noise goes away.
