The 'old lady' recently purchased a 07 Jeep Commander 3.7L Rocky Mountain Edition.

1st problem: The check engine light came on and the car had a very rough idle. I think this might have been due to bad gas. I'm not sure. But the problem has gone away and the light went off.

Current issues: Got in the car, and the rear speakers were not working. I can adjust the fade to the rear and barely hear them. Any recommendations? The car is just now at 37k miles.

I would greatly appreciate anyone's help.

Next time a check engine light comes on, you can, with the Commander off, put the key in and turn it to the "ON" (Not start) position, then back to OFF, then ON, then OFF, then ON, and it will display the "P" code in the odometer that you can google or take to an autoparts store or mechanic.

Does it have the Boston Acoustics system? When you adjust the fade to the rear, are you sure the sound is coming from the rear speakers? Get your head up close to check.
