Hey everyone, I came across this article today and thought it would be a good source of information for those who do not have a lot of experience with winching or recovering a vehicle. Some of you winching pros may disagree with some of the info in the article, but I think it is a good read anyway...never can be too careful when using recovery gear.

ah...good find. I did a quick search and didn't see anything related...sorry about that Jeep5253.

Even so, it's not a bad idea to bring repeated attention to recovery safety precautions IMO. Many other people that could benefit from this information may not have seen the 2008 post either...my .02
