Hi Guys,
It's been a while for me I guess. Too much travel leaving less time to play around with the Jeep.

Some may already know I retrofitted projectors couple of months back and now it's time for a registration renewal.

I went in and no surprise it failed because of the HIDS. They said I need to install Halogen bulbs.

Taking the headlights out and installing the originals is going to be a pain especially that a few of my bumper clips are broken from a minor accident so anything that evolves putting in the OEM Lights is gonna result in a paint job!

Are there any halogen bulbs out there that'll fit just so I can pass by inspection? The current are D2S.

Thanks, I've searched everywhere and didn't find an answer. If none here then that means I gotta go the long and expensive way. Thanks

I'd love to help but I can't figure out exactly what it is that you are asking.......

I've read your post 4 times;

It sounds like you are looking for Halogen bulbs that will fit into your HID projector housings for a quick and easy swap and if that's what you're looking for - I highly doubt you will find them.

Those HID housings are custom designed for your HID projectors bulbs which I'm sure have different dimensions/threads/fittings than the stock halogen bulbs.

Hi thanks for the response. That's exactly what I'm looking for only. This is only to pass the inspection and then swap them back to my D2S HIDs.

All what they care about is seeing a Non HID bulb coming out of the projector and nothing else.

That's what I thought - and like I said in the quote above, highly unlikely.

Thought so. Thanks, went old school removed the bumper, changed back to the OEM headlights. Now waiting on the oem fog lights, the old ones were busted and the ones I got on are LEDS.

Once in I'll swap those and off to the inspection.

I have been kicking around changing out my fog lights over to LED's, they are the only lights I have left that are not LED's.

I have already replaced my fog lights once about 6 months or so after I bought my XK - before I started the LED switch-over, so, they are still like brand new - which is why I am hesitant to replace them.

So just a quick update and as expected had to go back to stock for the registration renewal. The upside to all of this the mod bug hit me.
After I renewed the registration I Got rid of the led fog lights made by Spyder. Put in new stock fogs with white LEDs ?

They go great with the projectors

They look good Fadyasha.

I wound up ordering these Halo Projector fog lights - they were on sale for $58.00 for the set which is more than 50% off, so, I figured I'd give them a shot, they look pretty cool.

Interesting. They come with halogen light bulbs btw... but h3 led's shouldnt be too hard to find.

Bulb Type: H3 12V 55W

Made of High Quality OEM Grade ABS Plastic

Hmm. When I get rid of my stockers I think I'm going with "Blazer" projectors with glass lenses and HID's.

ATM i am running HIR's in stock housings and it puts out plenty of light.

The factory OEM Fogs are plastic too, probably made out of the same material.

I think they are going to look good.

For $58.00 I have nothing to lose.

Yeah $58 is a steal.

My OEM ones are getting condensation in em lately. I've been halfheartedly looking at replacements. Curious to see how your install goes.

I'll try to find a pic of the infinity. The only issue I had on the commander with the Spyder fogs is that they didn't fill in properly. They looked odd.

I have already replaced the original fogs once with Chrysler Factory OEM replacements - probably a little over a year ago and they are still like brand new.

These Halo Projector fogs are OEM direct replacements, so, I don't anticipate this swap being any different from the first swap, other than I have a better idea of what to expect this time around.

I'll post a detailed write up with pics when I swap them out in April.
