We had about 10" of snow yesterday with some much deeper drifting snow driven by 30 MPH winds all night.
This morning I went out before our condo parking area was plowed and had no problem driving around making the first "ruts" for my neighbors to get out to the main road.
Then I decided to put it in 4LO for the first time.
I was pleasantly surprized how smooth and easy the shift into and out of 4LO was.
Keep in mind I have been a Jeep YJ and TJ Rubicon owner for the past 15 years until I bought the Commander last spring. Kids got married, grandkids have arrived and I've thoroughly enjoyed the transition from off roading to comfortable snow roading in the Commander.
The QDII is the ideal drivetrain for my "maturing" lifestyle here in Michigan.

Your a good neighbor to open up the parking lot for the LESSER vehicles. My friend was in Denver Last year when the big snow storm hit shutting most things down. He told me he saw Commanders going down the unplowed streets making paths with the toyotas and all following behind. john
