Hey guys. I just want to get a pulse from owners who've had their XKs lifted for quite some time now, particularly those who are just running a spacer lift.

Have there been any long term effects on your XK? Any added stress to your CV joints? Ball joints? Etc. Are spacer lifts ok for long term use?

I want to run this Commander to the ground and carry the family for many years with low maintenance cost due to aftermarket addons. I'm sure it'll definitely last well over 200k but this being my second Commander and having experienced some issues within a year and half with my first lifted Commander I'm reconsidering the idea of adding a lift kit again and would rather just level out the front end if it'll create less stress. What are your thoughts? Any long term experiences out there?

Thanks!

I have 93,000+ miles on my 07 XK. The lift (in my sig) went on within the first 500 miles. The original kit had poly/rubber spacers in the rear, they failed. The replacements (from Rocky Road at no cost) are metal and have no problems.

I have had no problems with the lift and bigger tires. 80% street and highway driving, I don't get in the dirt enough. Right now I'm in the process of replacing bushings to get rid of the 'front-end clunk', but that seems typical for all commanders, lifted or not.

Very happy with the setup.

Wow! That's impressive. Almost 93k miles with a lift?! That is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear. Thanks for sharing your experience, that's awesome.
