I have a question for all who have lifted their XK. What is the final height of your XK after installation of the lift and larger tires (see picture)?

Can you also add what lift you have? I'm particulair intrested in the 4" lifted XK's.

Thanks.

I never measured my XK stock, but lucky for me, my wife's '08 is still stock, so I'll do a before and after tonight.

I measured mine at 75 inches from the ground to the top of the OEM roof rack (not the mega warrior). I have the Rockey Road 2.25 lift & 32" tires.

I think mine topped at 7' even at the top of the Surco basket - without passengers - and that was without the winch... Maybe I can fit under the 7' signs now!

I took some measurements last night of both my and my wife's XK's. I took measurements at the fenderwells directly above the center of the wheels. My wife's '08 is an Overland with 18" wheels and 245/60/18's. My rig is an '06 Limited with Superlift 4" kit, 17" wheels and 265/70/17's.

Stock XK front: 31.5"
Stock XK rear: 33.0"

4" lifted XK front: 37.0"
4" lifted XK rear: 38.0"

I also measured to the top of the chrome luggage rack rail, directly above the center of the rear wheel.

Stock XK: 71.0"
4" lifted XK: 75.5"

Just for fun I measured to the top of my Rola roof rack and got 83.0". Hope that helps.

Thanks guys, this is exactly what I was looking for.
I want to make sure before I lift my XK that with the lift and without the cross bars / roof rack I can fit in (most) parking garages.
Since we us my car for family roadtrips and stuff like that, my wife is scared that when I lift the car it wouldn't be able to fit in parking garages anymore.......

Does any of you have issue's getting into parking garages?

With a roof rack - yes. In Denver, many garages are around 6'-8" to 7'-0". So I tend to find street parking. If I didn't have the roof rack, my XK is really no taller than a stock F-250.

Without the basket I fit at work, but I have to take the basket off or park on the street.

Dozens of threads with teh same question: get the Rocky Road, it is low cost and you can do it yourself over a weekend.

I could probably get into most garages with my roof rack on (and 2.5" lift) but not with the spare on the roof rack. I found that out the hard way.
