It's a very straightforward job. One thing you definitely need to know is to remove the coolant system bleed screw. It's located on the upper radiator hose inlet housing.
Then fill your radiator all the way up until you see fluid coming from the bleed hole. Reinstall the bleeder plug. Make sure the radiator is still topped off and install the cap. You cannot skip this step.
Make sure there's enough coolant in your reservoir. Then fire up the engine.
You can get a couple of gallons of 50/50 mix of ethylene glycol based coolant.
Or just one gallon of undiluted ethylene glycol. But then get a gallon of distilled water to go with it. When you make it 50/50 you'll be good for about 30 below zero.
Make sure you not buy propylene glycol.
Also the fan shroud and radiator can be removed together.
The only reason you need to completely flush everything out, is if your engine coolant contains a large amount of sediment. You can get some Mopar 04856977 cooling system flush. If you're unsure about sediment. If you can't see it. Just remove the thermostat housing on the lower radiator hose from engine block. And let all the coolant just run out of the block, into a paint strainer. Then you can see what's in your fluid. If it's clean then don't worry about it. But my advice is free.
Zerex Z-05 coolant or Mopar. Don't buy the "universal" nor the GM Dexos. While you are in that deep I changed out my water pump, serpentine belt tensioner (belt was already done with alternator last year), upper and lower hoses (make sure to transfer the protective sleeve from the old upper hose) and checked everything else. Pay attention to the rubber shrouds that shield the engine from debris on either side of the radiator and reinstall and the outside air temp sensor. You made need a push pin assortment if you break them off.
