I just got a used Jeep Commander, but the navigation screen is not working. I've looked into replacing it the radio, but I can't justify the $600+ to replace it. Does anyone know of a good after market radio that won't break the bank that has similar features?

upgrading the radio

I haven't looked into it yet, but when I do, I hope to find one that lets you plug in an iPod. You can probably get your back-up camera fixed for less. Good luck.

Start by disconnecting your battery for a while to clear everything and reconnect it. I've heard of cases where this alone corrects the display issues.

There is also a repair service available:

I would also take it out and pop off the faceplate and remove the screen and inspect and clean the ribbon connectors where the display plugs into the main board. This site has good pictures leading in that direction.

I honestly wouldn't be expecting anything close to the factory functionality and quality without spending a pretty penny.
