does anyone have the 40 muffler on thier 4.7 L? is it loud? all the time or only when u mash the pedal?

Had one, sounded great. Not too loud unless going 63+ on the highway. Then it was pretty bad. I took it off because of it. But, I did take it off for my wife and kids more than me.

I had the 40 Delta flow on a 4.0 XJ, I would not recommend it, even though the sound would be a lot different on a V-8 compared to the I-6.

I am looking at the larger 50 Delta or 50 SUV, smoother sound and more rumble than the 40 series higher toned output.

Nice aggresive tone on the outside, but alot of drone on the highway...i kicked myself for it in my dodge ram....but hey it did sound awsome in the city

How would you describe it, can you feel any rumble, or it is a subtle OEM like muffler?

The 40 series I had on the XJ was not only loud, but you could feel it.

I've had the 40 and 50 both on a previous vehicle. With the 50 there was much less "feeling" the exhaust. Interior noise was way down and was a little deeper sounding on the outside. I have not heard the 50SUV, but am thinking about getting either one of those, or a 70 series.
